It was supposed to maybe rain today, so of course I ended up wearing my shoes that can't get wet. Luckily, it stopped raining right before I left the house, and was dry when I left the office.
I actually had planned to wear this outfit last Thursday, but then I ended up working from home. So I didn't spend a lot of time picking out clothes this morning, because I already had this in mind. I love the pink/purple and gray together!
Was not happy with this outfit. Luckily, I only had to be in the office for the morning, then I was home all afternoon.

A rare weekend post from me! I took my grandmother out for lunch and shopping today. It was super hot out! But cold in the restaurant, so luckily I brought a sweater along.
We had this breakfast event with some senior leaders at work today, but actually it just entailed grabbing some food and then sitting at a table for an hour, rather than really mixing and mingling. Good, I hate mingling.
I tried to curl my hair a little today... that was probably a mistake.
I realized I hadn't worn this jersey peplum thing for a while, so... I wore it.
Figuring I'd be too warm to wear my sweater most of the day, I decided to also wear a colored necklace. Two different colors in one outfit?! This is new to me, haha! I ended up being chilly enough to wear the sweater all day in the office anyway.
This is the last of my new Loft shirts... Oh except I got three of them. I was very happy with this outfit, it was almost a waste to wear it on Monday when there are less people around the office.
I thought for sure I would not be wearing a sweater on top of a sweater today, but I actually kept the cardi on the whole day at work. I went out for dinner with my husband, did not bring the cardigan, and I really wished I did because I was freezing!
This sleeveless cable-knit sweater is constantly on the chopping block when I clean out my closet, but somehow it keeps hanging on...
Here is another of the shirts I got this weekend. This one is my favorite! I would have bought it in every color, but they only had stripes and weird colors. The one other color I would have bought (black), they didn't have in my size. This is very distressing to a "multiple buyer."
Yesterday I didn't even wear my sweater all day. So today I didn't even bother. Anyway, I was only in the office for the morning, then I left for an appointment and worked from home the rest of the day. And half our department is out of town this week. So it was ok to be casual :o)
I went shopping this weekend for more sleeveless tops that I could wear with sweaters for work in the summer. This one was questionable, but I can't turn down a gray shirt, so I got it. It's fine with a sweater over it, but it has these weird puffy not-quite-sleeves that are not really flattering.
Last workday before a midweek holiday and two vacation days - yes!
It was a super busy day at work. And because of the mid-week holiday, a lot of people were out of the office. So I barely saw anyone all day.
What happened to the nice weather?! It got crazy hot again! I just could not fathom not wearing sandals.
The weather today was gorgeous! I didn't really have any evening plans, so when I was invited to a party this evening, I took the opportunity, even though it was like an hour away. It was beautiful weather for driving!
Another Monday... I apparently got to work right before a huge rainstorm, and by the time I left it was sunny and much cooler. I even wore my sweater for most of the day. Yay!
I didn't have any real plans this weekend, but this turned out to be a busy day! I had an acupuncture appointment, then went out for lunch and errands, and later met up with a friend to go shoe shopping! (We were shopping for her, but yes, I got a pair for me too :o] )
I had to give a huge presentation to over 100 people today at work. And then I overslept! By like an hour! Luckily, my presentation was online, I just sat in a room with one other coworker. So I washed up, didn't really have time to do my hair, and got to work in time anyway.
I thought with temperatures reaching 100 degrees today, I wouldn't even need to wear this cardi. But actually it was pretty chilly in my office. I didn't take it out to lunch with me, and I wish I'd had it at the restaurant, too. But outside? No way.
The temperature dropped quite a bit over the weekend, though I think it's supposed to get hot again this week. Oh well, I will enjoy this in-between time by wearing my cut-out shoes!

As much as I didn't wear my sweater yesterday, I wore it all day today! Especially this afternoon, when I was in a very cold conference room for a couple of hours...
My first day back at work after a week off! I hadn't worn this top for a while. Usually I would pair it with a black sweater, but this time I tried a coordinating blue cardi. Of course, it was so warm that I did not actually put the thing back on after taking this picture.
I don't usually go to the office on Fridays, but I was so busy today, I had to. I think I was one of maybe three people on my whole floor. So it was ok to be a little casual.
How is May over already? It's been super warm and I'm super busy rushing to get things done for the end of the month, so short sleeves were the order of the day. I took a sweater to work just in case, but didn't even need it.
With the holiday on Monday, this week's already feeling messed up.

I had a big meeting at work today (which turned out to be a small, kind of lame meeting), so I sort of stressed over what to wear, and went through a few different options. In the end, I went with this tank I got a while ago but hadn't worn yet. I usually don't wear straight up tank tops under cardigans, but I thought this would be ok - instead, I spent most of the day adjusting my sweater and the edges of my shirt so my bra straps didn't show :o(
It's getting hot out, now. Expect lots of sleeveless shirts with cardigans over...
I wanted to wear this bright sweater again... I forgot until later, though, that it gets blue lint all over everything.

I felt kind of weird about wearing all these dark colors today, since it's sunny and springtime, but I guess some other people had the same idea as me, because I saw quite a few other people at work in navy and gray.
I was in the office all morning, met a former coworker for lunch, called in to meetings all afternoon from home, then went out to meet someone else after work. It was a busy day! And it was raining.

Last day of my meeting. It was such a good week! After work, we all went to my coworker's house to hang out for the evening (except our boss - probably a good thing).
Another full day of meetings, and another dinner out, so I again had to dress to be able to change.
First day of a three-day meeting with my team at work. There are five of us from four different locations, including my boss. Also needed an outfit where I could change into jeans and go to dinner!
