Today was my last work day of the year ...except for the work I'm going to have to do next week... At least it was my last day in the office. I went out to lunch with the other two people from my group who were in, and then our site closed at 2 PM so I got to leave early.

My husband couldn't believe we weren't allowed to wear jeans or "dress down" today. Well, that's very rare at my office. I did wear corduroy pants, though.
I did end up going to the Limited on Saturday and taking advantage of their 40% off sale by getting two pairs of pants. These black ones looked awesome in the dressing room, but when I got dressed this morning... I just wasn't feeling it, and ended up changing. I will try again soon, maybe with some different underwear..?

I also got a grayish tan pair of these pants, which I didn't try on, because they're the same style and size. Big mistake. They fit totally different! Might actually have to return those :o(
We went to a Christmas party hosted by friends tonight. I was worried that I was going to get chilly with just 3/4 sleeves and a pretty thin t-shirt and sweater, so I ended up also wearing my black scarf all night - which actually looked good, and did keep me comfortably warm.
Shirt - Modbe Cardigan - Mossimo Jeans - Old Navy Shoes - zoe&zac
I was browsing through this site last night, looking for things I hadn't worn in a while, or wore too much, or maybe shouldn't wear again, and I saw this sweater. Oh yeah, it is soft and very warm! I don't think I've ever worn it buttoned up like this before. And I probably won't again, because it turns out sort of blobby.

I was just thinking that maybe I should go back to The Limited sometime and get some more pants, since I love this pair so much, and then I saw that everything there is 40% off tomorrow! So now I think I'm definitely going...
After work tonight was the holiday party for my organization at work. It was actually really nice, and I got to see some people I don't see all that often, so we had fun. I decided to wear a cranberry shirt and at least be a little festive looking.
You may be confused, because I do not usually go to the office on Wednesdays. Today I did! Then I played a concert with my band in the evening, where I had to wear a white shirt and black pants and shoes. So I wore an outfit to work that made for as little changing as possible - just had to switch out the sweater for my button-down shirt and I was ready to go.
Sweater - Bass Camisole - Old Navy Slacks - Gap Shoes - Chinese Laundry
Just for fun, I curled my hair a little this morning. What do you think?
I took the day off work and went out Christmas shopping with a friend. It was freezing cold and we were at an outdoor mall for half the day, so nobody really saw my clothes except when we took a lunch break!
Sweater - H&M Camisole - Old Navy Jeans - Old Navy Shoes - Clarks Privo Purse - Fossil
For my Twitter friends, this is the much talked-about Fossil purse that arrived this week! A nice big cross-body top-zip, it'll be great for traveling - and the pewter color goes with everything!
I'm taking the day off work tomorrow, so today was my Friday. Also, I had lunch with a coworker from another state who I hadn't met yet. We work together a lot and talk on the computer and phone all the time, so we felt like we already knew each other! Nice to put a live face with a voice, though.

Today was the day of my move! My new desk neighbors are nice, but they actually are leaving at the end of the month, so I will be all alone again :o(
Sweater - Bass Slacks - New York & Company Shoes - Lela Rose Earrings - gift
My day started with a lady on the elevator saying, "Cute shoes," and the shoe compliments continued! I rarely wear them, though, because the fabric is green, navy, brown, and tan, and I feel like it's hard to match them with outfits. I have pretty much only ever worn them with this green sweater or with a dark blue top and brown or tan pants. Any suggestions for how I can get more use out of them?
Oh I thought last week was cold? Today's freezing temps and biting winds put that weather to shame. Didn't have to go anyplace at work today, just had a bunch of teleconferences and needed to finish up packing for my move.
Sweater - Merona Camisole - Old Navy Slacks - Limited Shoes - zoe&zac
I say it every time, but I love these pants. Just enough stretch to be really comfortable. And they're warm!
I should have worn a big old sweater today, because it went from being tolerable out yesterday to bitterly cold today. Luckily I wasn't outside too much, but I did leave the office early to go out for a farewell/celebratory lunch with my group.
When I pulled this sweater out of the closet this morning, I thought it was a different one. (Why yes, I do have 3-4 black v-neck sweaters.) When I took it off tonight, I was surprised to see that it was one I'd actually been considering donating! Not anymore - still fits fine!

I was struggling with what to wear for Thanksgiving, because we were actually going to two dinners: one at a nice restaurant, and one at a home. So I couldn't dress too casually, but I also wanted to be comfortable because there was a lot of food to be eaten! This outfit worked out perfectly, and I was excited to break out the new tunic sweater I got specifically to wear with these jeggings. It's not my usual look, so I was a little uncomfortable at first, but I think it turned out cute!
Sweater - Old Navy Shirt - Old Navy Jeggings - Mossimo Shoes - zoe&zac
It seems counter-intuitive, but jeggings are so comfy. I almost felt like I was cheating because it's more like wearing yoga pants than jeans. (But these Mossimo ones are really denim and very jeans-like.)
Today was my last day in the office for the week, hooray! Also, I had an actual, physical meeting to go to (not a teleconference) for once, but it was pretty low-key because I was just meeting a former co-worker to help her with something. It was nice to get away from my desk for a bit, at least.
Sweater - H&M Camisole - Old Navy Slacks - Gap Shoes - American Eagle Necklace - Stella & Dot
One more workday (from home) and then four-day holiday weekend, hooray!
I've been super excited to wear these new shoes ever since they arrived. I was actually going to save them for something else later this week, but wore them today since I was going to see a bunch of coworkers I don't usually see. And they got compliments!
Sweater - H&M Camisole - Old Navy Slacks - Gap Shoes - American Eagle Necklace - Target
I love how well they go with my awesome Target necklace, too. Just slightly edgy... And no, the purple nail polish + purple sweater was not intentional at all, but hey, nothing wrong with coordinating!
We went out for lunch at work today and I didn't want to mess with a coat, so I just wore this big heavy sweater. However, we went to a new burger restaurant and I ended up smelling like burgers and fries all afternoon, so I had to change for when I went out tonight.
Sweater - Merona Tank - Old Navy Slacks - New York & Company Shoes - American Eagle Earrings - Kathryn Riechert
And yes, my nail polish does match that tank top. Not my usual style, but teal nail polish is kind of fun!
I didn't really have a reason to dress up today... and then it turned out that I had to go to this meeting and I was like, "Phew, good thing I wore a nice shirt!" ...and then it turned out that the meeting was just over the phone, so once again, it didn't matter what the heck I wore. Haha, oh well.

This is the appearance on this blog of the first of four (whoops - yes, four) new pairs of Payless shoes I ordered online. They were BOGO! I was nervous to get them online because Payless sizing is so wonky, but I was able to try on a couple of them in the store (they just didn't have the size/color I wanted), and one is the same as a pair I already have in another color so I could judge how they would run. FYI: their zoe&zac line in general run about half a size too large.
My husband and I went to his friend's wedding tonight. I'd been kind of worrying about what to wear, but in the end I went with this dress, which I'd worn to a wedding earlier this year, paired with a cardigan for warmth. Luckily, the whole thing was indoors in this mansion. I did bring warm boots to wear in the car though!
I need more pants like these - they are soft, stretchy, and generally flattering. In the side view you can see they have a little stitching detail down the outside of each leg. I will have to be on the lookout...

Is it possible my feet grew over the summer? These shoes were almost too big on me last fall, today my toes were at the tips of the shoes and I got a blister on the back of one of my heels. That's the second pair of shoes now that fit fine last year and is too small this year. Hmm..!
I wore a scarf to work! I have so many scarves and I never wear them because I feel like it'll bother me around my neck all day, but guess what - it didn't! In fact, it was nice, because I went to a meeting in our auditorium which is always freezing cold, and I had some extra warmth.

What is going on with my legs in this picture?! I don't know, but this was actually the better of the two pictures I took this morning...
I didn't do anything special for Halloween, just my normal weekend errands and such. I did break out my jeggings for the first time. They are a size larger than I usually wear because I didn't want them to be skin-tight, which I think was the right choice, but the waist is a little loose so I had to keep hiking them up. They are sooo comfortable though! Seriously, I might as well have been wearing yoga pants all day.
There was sort of a last-minute change to this outfit. I'd been planning to wear this new Merona cardigan with an allover gray and cream pattern of sort of swirly stuff. I really liked it, but when I had it actually on my body it was like... woah. Too much. So I'm returning it, and I wore this plain gray sweater instead.
Shirt - Merona Cardigan - Old Navy Slacks - Gap Shoes - American Eagle
And yes, that is gray nail polish - I'm giving the trend a try. I wasn't sure about it, but actually now I like it. It's almost like wearing silver nail polish, which I used to wear quite often.
Side note: I was very excited to see that Keri of ...And I Wore This is back, and she changed the name of her blog (click to check it out). Congratulations!
I got this shirt (...and a teal one...) with the intention of wearing it with a different sweater, but then that sweater didn't work out and I had to return it, so... ta-da! I liked this outfit! Too bad I'm stuck off in an annex at work and nobody even gets to see me and my new shirt...
Top - Old Navy Slacks - Gap Cardigan - Merona Shoes - Chinese Laundry Watch - Xhileration Earrings - Stella & Dot
Back to work on this Monday morning. I didn't check my calendar, but figured I would probably have some meetings, so I should dress nicely. Turns out I only had one, and it was on the phone, so I actually didn't really leave my desk all day.

I went to a kind of informal, daytime wedding today, and I was stressing about what to wear. The bride and groom were older, and I was actually going with my grandmother and didn't really know anyone there, and it was a chilly October day. So I figured slacks would be okay, and I was going to try to find a new top or cardigan to wear with them, but then I remembered I had this one that I hadn't worn yet. I got lots of compliments on it!
Top - Casual Corner Annex Cardigan - Merona Slacks - New York & Company Shoes - American Eagle Watch - Xhileration Earrings - Stella & Dot
Yes, the top is from Casual Corner Annex. How old does that make it? I remember I got it probably the summer before I started college, in 2000.
I was running so late for work this morning, I figured taking a picture was not a priority. So I got a shot when I got home, hence my worn-out look.
Shirt - Merona Sweater - Old Navy Slacks - The Limited Shoes - What's What
I had forgotten I have these pants. I never shop at The Limited, but I got these on super sale, and they are extremely comfortable - very soft and stretchy, and they have a neat stitching detail on the outside seams.
