The VP of my department stopped by my desk today and commented that he liked the color of my sweater. I like it too!
It was a hot, humid day! I was a little chilly in my office, and almost questioned whether I should have worn pants to work, but as soon as I stepped outside into that humid air, I knew a skirt was the right choice.
Didn't I just wear this cardigan to work yesterday? Yeah, I did.
A quick change in the evening (everything but the top), and I was ready for a night out with my husband!
Not much to say, except that I have a love-hate relationship with this top. I just wish it weren't so long - if I pull it down straight, it comes down really low, and if I hike up some of the length, then it's all weird and bunchy.
I almost forgot about these little short-sleeved sweaters! I got two (this one and a gray one) last summer. I usually don't wear short-sleeved sweaters because I like being able to put something long-sleeved on top (my office is cold!), but it was so hot out that I just went for it! And I was fine all day at work.
Just going out to do some errands on a Saturday morning. I pulled that blue bag out again to use recently - it makes me so happy! And it's a great size! I can put an umbrella in there and not even notice it, or fill it with my reusable totes for the store without having to squeeze everything else in, but it doesn't feel huge.
Rare appearance by my biggest cat (just don't mind his electric eyes)!
I've been trying to mix things up by pairing these black and gray skirts with tops in colors other than black or gray. How does it look with lavender?
Humidity + hair at an annoying length = curling and other weird behavior before I even leave the house. If it were a little longer I wouldn't mind if the ends curl, but when it's just hitting my shoulders, I think it doesn't look so hot. What do you think?
I've had this shirt for years. It was one of the first things I bought when I got my "real" job after college. (Yes, I was a Merona fan even then!)
I like this skirt. It's just a simple A-line, teal, elastic-waist thing I picked up at H&M without even trying it on, but it's so comfy and it's a little bit heavier weight than just a single-layer knit, so it keeps a nice shape.
A cool outfit for a hot and humid Friday. Of course, my office is always freezing - somehow I forget this when I'm getting dressed in my 90-degrees and humid, non-air conditioned house.
I had the day off work, so I met up with a friend (and her baby) for lunch, and later we took him to a nearby farm to eat ice cream and see the animals. At three months old, he couldn't really appreciate either, but at least we had fun!
I went to a polo game, so what better time to wear a polo shirt, right?
I actually ended up changing my mind a little at the last minute, so I wore brown Old Navy flip-flops, not these sandals, and I carried my regular Nine West purse (this one was too floppy for me).
I went out for lunch today, and the warmth of going outside must have stuck with me all afternoon - I didn't touch my sweater for most of the day. A shame, I think I looked more pulled-together with it on.
It's actually been a little cool this week, which is nice for July. So even though I left the house in short sleeves, the picture with the sweater is how I actually looked for most of the day.
I have three of these sweaters - love them. But do you think this color is too close to flesh tone?
Monday. That's all I have to say about that.
I got these capris in the spring and they were a little tight. Guess what - they fit perfectly now! I wore this outfit to go out to lunch and do some errands during the day, and later we went to see a concert in the park and have a picnic dinner.
I only worked a half-day today, and will work from home tomorrow, so it was like an early Friday for me in the office.
