Not much of an outfit to share today, I just wanted to share the premiere appearance of the Bermuda shorts I got yesterday. Why have I waited until this summer to try this length of shorts? Suddenly I'm not embarrassed to go out in public in shorts! And I needed them today, it was hot and humid.
Today I broke one of the cardinal rules of a "multiples buyer" - I wore something that I'd already worn in a different color earlier in the week. Oh well, considering it was a Friday and the day before a holiday weekend, there was hardly anyone in my office to notice.
It got crazy hot this week, and was about 90 degrees in my house while I was getting ready this morning. Even though my office is always so cold, I knew I'd have enough residual heat in me to get away with wearing a skirt to work.
You may have noticed that in most these pictures one pant leg appears longer than the other. No, I do not have one freakishly short leg. I usually bend one leg in a contrapposto pose (thank you, art school). Unfortunately, you don't always see the bend in my leg, but you can tell by where my pants hit my foot.
I knew I was going to wear the black pants and gray top today, it was just a question of what color sweater I wore. My husband helped me pick the pink one from several options :o)
Yet another long day at work! Plus I was apparently in charge of taking the consultants to lunch (they aren't usually at my site). Really looking forward to this project being over.
I'd just gotten back from a business trip and had a busy Friday planned back at the office, so a friend and I were joking about wearing jeans to work. Somehow, though, I managed to look pulled-together!
I left the house twice today: once to go to Home Depot for supplies to fix my wall, and once to go to band practice. It was a beautiful day and night, though!
I need to train myself not to say, "Thanks, it's from Target!" when someone tells me they like what I'm wearing. "Thanks, it's from Tarzhay" isn't much better either, which is what I said today when a co-worker told me she liked my sweater.
It has been really hot and humid for the past couple of days, and I refuse to set up our air conditioners this early in the season. So please excuse my red, sweaty face and frizzy hair. This was actually taken first thing in the morning, before I went to work!
I ended up changing my necklace before I left for work. I didn't think this one looked right with the top, though looking at it now it actually seems fine. Oh well.
Good thing I looked a little more pulled-together today - we had a power outage and then a fire at work! This of course meant that I was outside with several buildings' worth of people for a bit while the smoke cleared, so far more people saw me than usual! Luckily, it was nice out - certainly a good day for a fire alarm!
It was so cold in my office! This sweater is really warm, and I was still freezing. Seems like it's always either freezing or stuffy in there - I wish they could regulate things better.
I don't wear stuff with hoods to work. In fact, I think I've only done it once or twice - I have this white fuzzy hooded sweater that's really cute in the winter. But it was Friday and I was by myself in the office for most of the day, so I went for it.
Happy Earth Day! 
No, I didn't intentionally wear brown in honor of the earth, but it sort of worked out that way. My office was kind of undecided when it came to temperature today - usually it's just freezing in there, but today it was also sometimes warm and humid. So I was occasionally sweater-less during the day.
This was the first time in a long time that I wore this necklace, because I recently found it in a box. I got so many compliments on it! Would you believe that I bought it ten or more years ago at Target?!
I thought this sweater was cute in the store, but when I put it on for work my husband gave me the side-eye. Is it crazy looking? He also said the blue with it was too bright..?! That bright turquoise blue is "my" color!
You know, it's hard to keep coming up with things to say about my outfit every day! This is a new shirt :o)
I don't have much to say about this one, except that it was very warm in the afternoon and I did a lot of running around after work, so that sweater came right off.
So many of us were wearing purple and black at work today! Either in patterns, or purple tops with black pants and sweaters, like I and several others wore. Weird how that often seems to happen...
There was supposed to be a bigwig at work today, and I felt a little under dressed in my very basic outfit. But then we found out that the visit was canceled, so I didn't feel so bad about it after all.
Really bad picture, but... I had to show off my new Skechers Shape-Ups! They're really not that crazy looking, and they didn't hurt my legs or ankles at all; despite the instruction that came with them to only wear them for 25-45 minutes at first, I wore them all day. A friend of mine has a pair that she just wears out and about, not specifically while exercising, and she said she noticed a difference in the way her jeans fit, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to give them a try!
