Needed something that could go from work to dinner out, since I wouldn't have much time to change in between. So I just swapped out my work pants for jeans when I got home and we were off.
I sort of forgot it was Halloween until later in the morning, so I did not dress in a very Halloween-y manner. Don't worry, I changed into a black sweater, jeggings, and boots when it was time to give out candy.
Today was a full workday with almost nobody else in the office, followed by our quarterly Girls Night Out! Also, it suddenly turned freezing cold, so it was corduroy pants again, as well as my warmer winter coat for the first time this season!
I put this outfit together (in my head) the night before. Saved me a lot of time this morning!
Last week one of my coworkers wore probably this same pair of cords, which reminded me that I should wear mine. Since it's been so chilly lately, it was the perfect excuse to wear soft, warm pants and a cozy sweater. (I don't completely understand why, but this sweater is so much softer and warmer than my other cardigans.)
Four consecutive days in the office, can you believe it?! Today was our last day with our new contractor in the office, so I wore a fun sweater in case we took some group photos or anything. We didn't.
This is the debut of the other item I got with my Lands' End Canvas LivingSocial deal. In this case, I ordered the shirt in my regular size, medium, and... I kind of wish I'd gotten a small. It fits well, it's just a little looser than I usually wear. But I guess that's the LEC fit.
We have a new contractor visiting this week to get oriented in her new job. Yesterday was her first day in the office, and she and our other coworker both wore purple, black, and gray! I was like, "Ugh, I wore those colors all week last week! Why didn't you tell me so I could coordinate with you?!" So I wore that combo today, instead.
Yes, I wore almost this exact same outfit exactly two weeks ago. Just the pants and earrings are different (but similar). I was going to wear a different sweater, but I didn't like the way the crew neck interacted with the neckline of the shirt. So it was back to my trusty v-neck cardi!
Ok, one more day of black, gray, and purple week! This time I worked it into what has become my weekend uniform lately.
Well, did you figure it out? This has been black, gray, and purple week! And to cap it off I was going to wear a solid black top, but I decided to pull out this black and gray shirt instead.
I could not get a good picture this morning. This was the best combination of face + hair + clothes that I could get.

It's Monday :o( But I am wearing two new things today :o) This cardigan is another purchase from the Loft outlet. I was unsure about it because of the cropped length, but I know you're not supposed to wear things that hit at the widest part of your body, and all my sweaters hit right there at my hips. I like this one because it hits at the narrowest part of my body, so that looks better, right? Right?
No good pictures today. They were all blurry and my hair looked weird. Oh well.
I was worried about washing this shirt, with the sequins on it. So after the last time I wore it, I hand-washed it in the sink and hung it to dry. It came out great! Guess I'll be doing that from now on...

My first day back in the office after a week off! The debut of another new shirt I got while I was off last week (which was, for some reason, my first Loft purchase)! Also, it's super cold now!
If you've wondered where I am this week, I'm on vacation. Or "staycation," since I just took a week off work to stay home. Early in the week I went to the outlets and got a bunch of stuff, including this shirt!
Oh you thought I had forgotten about this gray sweater, just because I hadn't worn it yet this week? I am in love with it, actually. I don't know how else to describe it, other than that it is the ideal piece for how I want to represent myself.
Pulled out another jersey cardigan from my closet, showed up at work, and... a friend was wearing almost the exact same outfit!

I could cut 10 inches off my hair and nobody would notice. But today I curled my hair and had people commenting all day and even saying they didn't recognize me!
A "running around doing errands" outfit. I love the color of this sweater, but it pills horribly.
I was trying to plan this outfit in advance because we had a girls night out planned for after work, so I like to wear something that I can take straight to dinner, or change into jeans and then go. Then I had the added stress of having a last-minute dental appointment this morning. (Everything's fine.) So I just picked whatever was on top of my shirt and sweater piles, haha. But I think it turned out fine.
As happens many mornings, I picked out this sweater and then found a bunch of stuff to go with it. I also decided I wanted to wear these shoes, I don't wear them often enough. Ehh, kind of unhappy with it, but whatever.
Today was my birthday! I didn't do anything really special, though. Just went to work, then out to dinner with my husband.
I love this sweater. I wasn't even looking for something like this when I bought it, but it's so perfect for so many things! Tonight my husband and I went out and I asked him to hold it for me for a second, and he commented on how light it is! I said, "I know, isn't it great?!"

All I knew this morning was that I wanted to wear this pink sweater. And it was raining. The rest just happened.
I did not feel like going back to work this morning after the long weekend. In fact, I never really felt like I fully woke up all day.
Friday before a holiday weekend... Perfect day to be in the office! (Because nobody else is there!) Think I've gotten enough use out of this gray sweater this week? I think the problem was that it didn't even make it back into the closet between wearings...
Holy cow, how'd it get to be September already?! Being the first of the month, it was a very busy day for me at work. I did get to work a little with a friend who is also the Stella & Dot consultant who sold me this necklace. She complimented me on it :o)
Of all the pictures I took this morning, the one above was the best. And I didn't want to use it because you can see the white inside of the sweater. And now I've just pointed it out to you further.
I took so many pictures this morning, and ended up making goofy faces in all of them. This was the least goofy.
After an exciting hurricane weekend, I was ready to go back to work this morning! Luckily, we did not loose power or water and I only had to detour around one flooded bridge on my way in. Many of my coworkers, both here and in other states, were not as lucky. Also, every meeting I had scheduled today ended up getting canceled.
A co-worker and I went out for lunch and a little hurricane shopping. Good thing she stocked up on water then, the supermarket was already almost out of it!
Why are Thursdays always my busiest day at work? For everyone else it seems like it's a free day, so why am I always packed with meetings and emergencies?
So, how about that earthquake today! Besides that, the weather was gorgeous - I learned that when I got to take a little post-earthquake break outdoors.
