I did end up going to the Limited on Saturday and taking advantage of their 40% off sale by getting two pairs of pants. These black ones looked awesome in the dressing room, but when I got dressed this morning... I just wasn't feeling it, and ended up changing. I will try again soon, maybe with some different underwear..?
We went to a Christmas party hosted by friends tonight. I was worried that I was going to get chilly with just 3/4 sleeves and a pretty thin t-shirt and sweater, so I ended up also wearing my black scarf all night - which actually looked good, and did keep me comfortably warm.
I was browsing through this site last night, looking for things I hadn't worn in a while, or wore too much, or maybe shouldn't wear again, and I saw this sweater. Oh yeah, it is soft and very warm! I don't think I've ever worn it buttoned up like this before. And I probably won't again, because it turns out sort of blobby.
After work tonight was the holiday party for my organization at work. It was actually really nice, and I got to see some people I don't see all that often, so we had fun. I decided to wear a cranberry shirt and at least be a little festive looking.
You may be confused, because I do not usually go to the office on Wednesdays. Today I did! Then I played a concert with my band in the evening, where I had to wear a white shirt and black pants and shoes. So I wore an outfit to work that made for as little changing as possible - just had to switch out the sweater for my button-down shirt and I was ready to go.
I took the day off work and went out Christmas shopping with a friend. It was freezing cold and we were at an outdoor mall for half the day, so nobody really saw my clothes except when we took a lunch break!
I'm taking the day off work tomorrow, so today was my Friday. Also, I had lunch with a coworker from another state who I hadn't met yet. We work together a lot and talk on the computer and phone all the time, so we felt like we already knew each other! Nice to put a live face with a voice, though.
Today was the day of my move! My new desk neighbors are nice, but they actually are leaving at the end of the month, so I will be all alone again :o(
Oh I thought last week was cold? Today's freezing temps and biting winds put that weather to shame. Didn't have to go anyplace at work today, just had a bunch of teleconferences and needed to finish up packing for my move.
I should have worn a big old sweater today, because it went from being tolerable out yesterday to bitterly cold today. Luckily I wasn't outside too much, but I did leave the office early to go out for a farewell/celebratory lunch with my group.
I didn't like this picture as much, but at least my feet aren't cut off.
When I pulled this sweater out of the closet this morning, I thought it was a different one. (Why yes, I do have 3-4 black v-neck sweaters.) When I took it off tonight, I was surprised to see that it was one I'd actually been considering donating! Not anymore - still fits fine!
I was struggling with what to wear for Thanksgiving, because we were actually going to two dinners: one at a nice restaurant, and one at a home. So I couldn't dress too casually, but I also wanted to be comfortable because there was a lot of food to be eaten! This outfit worked out perfectly, and I was excited to break out the new tunic sweater I got specifically to wear with these jeggings. It's not my usual look, so I was a little uncomfortable at first, but I think it turned out cute!
Today was my last day in the office for the week, hooray! Also, I had an actual, physical meeting to go to (not a teleconference) for once, but it was pretty low-key because I was just meeting a former co-worker to help her with something. It was nice to get away from my desk for a bit, at least.
It was a very boring and quiet day at work - a lot of people have taken the whole week off, so I didn't have much to do or many people to see. Oh well - snuggly sweater it is!
I've been super excited to wear these new shoes ever since they arrived. I was actually going to save them for something else later this week, but wore them today since I was going to see a bunch of coworkers I don't usually see. And they got compliments!

We went out for lunch at work today and I didn't want to mess with a coat, so I just wore this big heavy sweater. However, we went to a new burger restaurant and I ended up smelling like burgers and fries all afternoon, so I had to change for when I went out tonight.
I didn't really have a reason to dress up today... and then it turned out that I had to go to this meeting and I was like, "Phew, good thing I wore a nice shirt!" ...and then it turned out that the meeting was just over the phone, so once again, it didn't matter what the heck I wore. Haha, oh well.
It's officially cold now - I'm wearing coats, I'm wearing sweaters, it's awesome!
My husband and I went to his friend's wedding tonight. I'd been kind of worrying about what to wear, but in the end I went with this dress, which I'd worn to a wedding earlier this year, paired with a cardigan for warmth. Luckily, the whole thing was indoors in this mansion. I did bring warm boots to wear in the car though!
Here's a better shot so you can see the neat neckline - and also how my husband and I coordinated with the purple!
I need more pants like these - they are soft, stretchy, and generally flattering. In the side view you can see they have a little stitching detail down the outside of each leg. I will have to be on the lookout...

I wanted to look a little put-together today, because I had a meeting at work... which turned out to be about 5 totally unnecessary minutes. Oh well.
I wore a scarf to work! I have so many scarves and I never wear them because I feel like it'll bother me around my neck all day, but guess what - it didn't! In fact, it was nice, because I went to a meeting in our auditorium which is always freezing cold, and I had some extra warmth.
I didn't do anything special for Halloween, just my normal weekend errands and such. I did break out my jeggings for the first time. They are a size larger than I usually wear because I didn't want them to be skin-tight, which I think was the right choice, but the waist is a little loose so I had to keep hiking them up. They are sooo comfortable though! Seriously, I might as well have been wearing yoga pants all day.
There was sort of a last-minute change to this outfit. I'd been planning to wear this new Merona cardigan with an allover gray and cream pattern of sort of swirly stuff. I really liked it, but when I had it actually on my body it was like... woah. Too much. So I'm returning it, and I wore this plain gray sweater instead.
I got this shirt (...and a teal one...) with the intention of wearing it with a different sweater, but then that sweater didn't work out and I had to return it, so... ta-da! I liked this outfit! Too bad I'm stuck off in an annex at work and nobody even gets to see me and my new shirt...
Of course on my last workday of the week, a million things needed to be done that only I can do, and Everything! Is! An! Emergency!
A rare Wednesday photo! Even though I was working from home today, I had to get dressed to take a cat to the vet this morning for a check-up. And then I had band practice later tonight.
Back to work on this Monday morning. I didn't check my calendar, but figured I would probably have some meetings, so I should dress nicely. Turns out I only had one, and it was on the phone, so I actually didn't really leave my desk all day.
I went to a kind of informal, daytime wedding today, and I was stressing about what to wear. The bride and groom were older, and I was actually going with my grandmother and didn't really know anyone there, and it was a chilly October day. So I figured slacks would be okay, and I was going to try to find a new top or cardigan to wear with them, but then I remembered I had this one that I hadn't worn yet. I got lots of compliments on it!
I was running so late for work this morning, I figured taking a picture was not a priority. So I got a shot when I got home, hence my worn-out look.
Not really feeling this outfit... However, I need to mention again how excited I am to be able to comfortably wear sweaters!
Sometimes I pick out clothes the night before, or at least think about them. I think I did that last night, but by the time this morning rolled around, I'd forgotten. Not totally happy with what I ended up with, but at least I was comfortable. And I didn't really see anyone today, since my meetings were all canceled.
It was a little bit warmer today... but it won't last, the rest of the week is supposed to be rainy.
