How can you tell that I almost never wear brown or tan? My cube neighbor commented that I was wearing "a lot of color" today! It's just because of these shoes - they have purple and brown in them, so I can only wear them with certain things...

Every time I think of adding this sweater to the "donate" pile, something happens that makes me reconsider. Today, the guy who sits in the office near my commented that this color looks good on me. I've never heard him compliment anyone's clothes ever, so I assume he was being honest. What do you think?

Happy Election Day! I worked all day, then went to the polls with my husband when we got home. There was a long wait, but not horrible, so I think we made the right decision.

It does not come across in these pictures at all, but I got comments on how cute my hair was all day. Next time I'll have to get a picture from behind, it's really curly and bouncy when I do it this way.

I was off work today, but went out to do errands in the morning, and then got dressed up to meet friends at this big buffet for dinner.

These are the shoes I love but they seem to have shrunk, giving me crazy blisters on my heels. I lubed my feet up well with blister stick, and didn't do too much walking (not a lot of trips up to the buffet).

A big warm sweater was a bad choice today. It was nice when I left this morning and it was cold, but by the afternoon I was hot in my office. Then I stopped at Target on my way home and was sweating up a storm by the time I was done walking through there. I am enjoying the mild weather we're having right now, but it's really cutting into my sweater wearing time!

Last week one of my coworkers wore probably this same pair of cords, which reminded me that I should wear mine. Since it's been so chilly lately, it was the perfect excuse to wear soft, warm pants and a cozy sweater. (I don't completely understand why, but this sweater is so much softer and warmer than my other cardigans.)
