02.08.11

It was kind of warmish yesterday, but today it was back to bitterly cold weather. Also, it was a little rainy, so I wore real shoes instead of little flats.

01.20.11

Monday was a holiday, Tuesday I stayed home due to the snow (our office opened late anyway), and Wednesday was my normal day to work from home, so today was my first day in the office this week! Good thing I wore this warm sweater, there was a breeze by my desk!

Here is that "before and after" picture of my hair I promised. The change is a bit more dramatic than I'd thought!

06.25.10 + 06.26.10

I went on an overnight trip to New York City. Comfort in the heat, and while walking around, was key. To keep things simple, I wore black and purple on both days of my trip. Never really took any "official" outfit photos, but wanted to share.

What you don't see in either picture are my Skechers Bikers, which are so comfortable and perfect for a day of walking. However... I did end up with a little zig-zag strap suntan on the tops of my feet :o)

...Whoops, my husband sneaked into this shot, can you see him?

This was a great necklace to bring on vacation, because you can wear it long or short, so it's like 2 in 1. I wore it short both days for running around the city, and changed it to long to wear to the theater on Saturday night.

I took my picture when I came home from work, instead of before I left, so the sun was up and I didn't need a flash, and I was able to get the shot in the mirror.

I've worn this outfit before, so I usually try not to re-post duplicates, but I had to show off my nice new lipstick today! I found it in the clearance bin at Target - a set of four for $.75! Check your Target endcaps, mine had all kinds of goodies this weekend!

I keep forgetting that I have these pants! Weird thing about them is that they are super staticky. So I can only wear certain socks with them so they're not sticking to my legs all day. Maybe you can't really tell in the picture, but they're gray with blue pinstripes.

12.21.09

It's a very quiet week at work because most people are already on vacation, and I'm only in the office two days. So it's a good chance to be a little more casual.

I've been really happy with my hair lately. It's about time for my annual hair chopping, but I feel like putting it off or getting a less dramatic haircut to enjoy the length some more.

I rarely wear this pink t-shirt because you can see through it a little bit. But I figured I could get away with it since it would be mostly covered by my sweater today. And that sweater is so warm (a good thing!) that you need to wear something light under it anyway.

Hmm, looks like that sweater could stand to be a tiny bit longer. Oh well, it's still snuggly and soft.

I thought I was having an especially good hair day, so I took a picture. Warning: don't zoom in. Even on a "good hair day" I still get the frizzies.

I got this sweater a couple weeks ago because all sweaters at Bass were buy 1, get 2 free! I wasn't sure about it, but I really like the style.

Big things happening at work today, so I wanted to look professional. Somehow, professional = collared shirt to me...

Yes, that is another one of those sweaters with the collar and cuffs built-in. Luckily I looked semi-cute, because some co-workers and I had a little impromptu photoshoot around the office in the afternoon.

My husband said I looked very professional in this outfit.

This shirt seems to confuse people. The collar and cuffs are attached to the sweater, folks! It's all one shirt!

Sweater Uncertainty

I've been thinking of getting rid of this sweater (and the other one I have in pink), but decided to give it another try. The cable knit stretches weird over my chest, but other than that it fits nicely in terms of length and neckline, etc. What do you think, should it stay or should it go?

The End of Black and Gray Week

My rainy black and gray week ended on a non-rainy note, but I continued with the colors anyway.

This is probably my favorite pair of pants, and I don't think New York & Co. carries this style anymore!

Also, my hair has reached an annoying length. It's grown past the "cute bob" stage, but it's still too short to be able to do anything with. I just have to wait it out, because I probably won't get it cut again until the fall.

Another Rainy Day

Day two of black and gray week! At least it was less rainy than the day before. But, it was very cold, so I didn't have any problem wearing a long-sleeved sweater over a tank top. (Usually, I like to have the option of removing a layer, which is why you'll see me in cardigans half the time.) I also wore loafers with a bit of a heel, because I discovered that these pants grew too long (my legs shrank?) and I didn't want to drag my heels through puddles by wearing flats.

I had some more flattering pictures, but they were taken in front of an even bigger mess, if you can believe it. I really need to find somewhere to take my pictures that isn't a total trash-pile of a room. Maybe the dining room...
