It was Friday, and a potential snow day (though the snow didn't end up starting until later in the evening), so I wore corduroy pants to work. I discovered that they look a lot better if I pair them with flats than my chunky-heel loafers. I guess I just always feel the need to go with the loafers to "dress them up" a bit, but the flats look nice too!
I was in a big rush this morning, no time to get a better picture! It was a pretty boring outfit anyway, though the sweater was new.
It was cold and I wanted to wear boots to band practice, so my new skinny jeans made their public debut. I think they were okay. At least I was sitting most of the time, so people weren't subjected to the tightness.
I've worn this outfit before, so I usually try not to re-post duplicates, but I had to show off my nice new lipstick today! I found it in the clearance bin at Target - a set of four for $.75! Check your Target endcaps, mine had all kinds of goodies this weekend!
It is suddenly freezing cold! I just wanted to wear the warmest, most snuggly clothes I could get. This sweater was an obvious choice. And the shoes, I love, they are suede and feel like you're wearing bedroom slippers.

I decided to try to wear more jewelry this week. Today's was a bold necklace I got from an Etsy seller who is unfortunately long gone.
I keep forgetting that I have these pants! Weird thing about them is that they are super staticky. So I can only wear certain socks with them so they're not sticking to my legs all day. Maybe you can't really tell in the picture, but they're gray with blue pinstripes.
Didn't have anything planned to do today, so I went to visit my husband while he worked on a mural he's painting. It's been warmer recently, so I didn't wear a jacket - this sweater and long-sleeved shirt were plenty warm enough.
I love this sweatshirt, just because it's so warm I can go out on cold days without a jacket!
I've had this lacy little camisole for years, but for some reason I've never really worn it. I don't know why not, look how cute it is peeking out from under my sweater!
It was my first day at work after getting a haircut and... nobody noticed! It was great! I guess this wasn't as dramatic as my usual "annual haircut."
I had a very nice four-day weekend, but it was back to work today.
This morning I showed my husband a different shoe on each foot and asked which I should wear. "I don't know, they both go with your outfit," he said. I know that, that's why I wanted him to just choose one!
Kind of a bad picture, but I just wanted to snap a quick shot on my way out of the house to run a couple errands. Yes, the outfit is boring, but I get to show off my new boots! I ordered them weeks ago, but there was a shipping delay (maybe the snow in the midwest), so when they arrived this week, the weather was already getting warmer. Oh well, there's still lots more winter ahead of us.

I tried this sweater on before I bought it and thought it fit fine, but when I put it on this morning it was so... long. Even the sleeves were long. Oh well, it was still very soft and warm to wear to work.
Going out to a friend's graduation party. It was supposed to involve watching football and playing poker, so I figured it was a casual event, but actually it was a little more formal than I'd expected. Oh well, there was a wide variety of clothing worn, and I didn't look out of place.
Worked all day, then came home, changed into jeans, and went to a movie screening. Luckily, a black sweater can go anywhere.

I got this sweater a few years ago, after seeing it at Target a few times (they had it right along the aisle, so I saw it every time I went and walked past). I thought it looked kind of different. But it's so warm, I didn't wear it that often because I'd end up feeling overheated by the end of the day. And then recently it occurred to me: I could just wear it with a lightweight, short-sleeved shirt, instead of a long-sleeved shirt! So I did that today and it worked out great!
First day back to work after a long holiday break. It's been bitter cold and windy, so a big cozy sweater was in order.
I am ringing in 2010 at a pajama party hosted by friends. But I will be wearing this outfit until it's time to get changed.

I worked at home today, but I did go out for lunch, so I had to get dressed, haha. I picked up this sweatshirt at Target a while ago. Not my usual style, but I liked the color and thought it was kind of unique. It is super soft and so warm! Even though it was a few degrees below freezing, I just wore a scarf and gloves out and was fine without a coat!
Today was my last day in the office until January, so I figured I could get away with wearing jeans. Most people had the same idea. These shoes are adorable, but I rarely have an opportunity to wear them, so I was happy to have a chance to show them off at work, too.
It's a very quiet week at work because most people are already on vacation, and I'm only in the office two days. So it's a good chance to be a little more casual.
After being snowed in for two days, I was excited to get out on the thawing streets and go to the mall. I did a little bit of Christmas shopping, but mostly it was just nice to get out of the house!

I've been really happy with my hair lately. It's about time for my annual hair chopping, but I feel like putting it off or getting a less dramatic haircut to enjoy the length some more.
It was freezing today! I actually changed my mind about my shoes at the last minute, so ended up not wearing socks, but at least I had a super warm sweater.
Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch? Today the cafeteria at work provided a free holiday meal to everyone. I forgot until I got to work, so I packed a lunch anyway, which I will just have to save for a couple days.
Boring outfit to start a boring work week... Sigh.
Slow Friday at work...
I rarely wear this pink t-shirt because you can see through it a little bit. But I figured I could get away with it since it would be mostly covered by my sweater today. And that sweater is so warm (a good thing!) that you need to wear something light under it anyway.
My cube neighbor and I were both rocking the gray sweater/black pants look. Luckily, I included a touch of blue to differentiate myself.
