As usually happens on rainy days, I ended up wearing black and gray. I also got to go out for lunch!Shirt - Old Navy
Slacks - New York & Company
Shoes - American Eagle
Necklace - Target
Watch - Mossimo
It's suddenly warmer, and I don't know what to wear anymore! Back to my usual uniform of short-sleeved shirt and cardigan...
This week is my 5-year anniversary at my company, and my boss was in town (she is based in another state), so we got the department together and had some cake. I felt weird about it because we don't usually have celebrations for people for anniversaries, and 5 years isn't that long, but I'm pretty sure she just wanted an excuse to have a cake break :o)
I've found that this wrap top fits much better if I wear a tank underneath.
I wore a sweater for much of the day, but I did take it off in the afternoon - it was actually warm in the office!
The temperature is going to be in the 50s all week. I was so excited, I broke out a 3/4 sleeve sweater.
This wasn't really a photo-worthy outfit, I just wanted to document the fact that I got a trim between haircuts! I usually get my hair chopped once a year and spend the rest of the year growing it out, but this time I decided to get a little touch-up after a couple months. It'll still be long enough by the summer to pull it up off my neck.
If you follow me on Flickr or Twitter, you know that I was torn between two dresses to wear to a wedding today. Though I thought I'd be more comfortable in the other option, probably 90% of the internet preferred this dress, so that's what I went with. I didn't need to worry - this one was also very comfortable! (I'm keeping that second dress, though - it'll be great to wear to another event.)
Outfit for a very long day... I worked a full day, then went to a doctor's appointment, and then rushed to a wedding rehearsal followed by the rehearsal dinner. I got home 16 hours after I left! Luckily, these new gray suede flats (yes, another Payless pair!) were very comfortable!
I might have just bought a whole bunch of shoes at Payless... whoops. But they have so many cute styles right now! And at Payless prices, you can buy a couple pairs at once. Expect several New Shoe Debuts coming up soon. Today is the first.

Hey, so where have I been? Well, I was snowed in for a bunch of days the past couple weeks, and on the days that I did get out of the house, I just wore boring sweaters and stuff, so didn't bother with taking a picture. Sorry if you missed me!
It was a long day at work. Possibly one of the hardest and busiest days I've had in a long time. But at least I wore cords and comfortable shoes.
I cleaned up my closet over the weekend, and decided that I would have to wear these sweaters more often, or get rid of them. So I'm wearing one. I think it looks nice with the brown pants. And those shoes went perfectly with the outfit - they have a little tan, green, and navy blue.
I went to a friend's house to watch the Superbowl. It was cold and snowy and I wanted to wear something cozy, so I was all set to wear this first outfit.
But then I decided that I wasn't going to be comfortable sitting around in those skinny jeans all night, so I changed at the last minute. The black boots are shorter, so I can wear them under roomier jeans, instead of over tight ones.
It was Friday, and a potential snow day (though the snow didn't end up starting until later in the evening), so I wore corduroy pants to work. I discovered that they look a lot better if I pair them with flats than my chunky-heel loafers. I guess I just always feel the need to go with the loafers to "dress them up" a bit, but the flats look nice too!
I've worn this outfit before, so I usually try not to re-post duplicates, but I had to show off my nice new lipstick today! I found it in the clearance bin at Target - a set of four for $.75! Check your Target endcaps, mine had all kinds of goodies this weekend!
It is suddenly freezing cold! I just wanted to wear the warmest, most snuggly clothes I could get. This sweater was an obvious choice. And the shoes, I love, they are suede and feel like you're wearing bedroom slippers.
You can't see them well unless you zoom in, but today's jewelry is a totally awesome pair of earrings from, you guessed it, Etsy!
I keep forgetting that I have these pants! Weird thing about them is that they are super staticky. So I can only wear certain socks with them so they're not sticking to my legs all day. Maybe you can't really tell in the picture, but they're gray with blue pinstripes.
I've had this lacy little camisole for years, but for some reason I've never really worn it. I don't know why not, look how cute it is peeking out from under my sweater!
Kind of a bad picture, but I just wanted to snap a quick shot on my way out of the house to run a couple errands. Yes, the outfit is boring, but I get to show off my new boots! I ordered them weeks ago, but there was a shipping delay (maybe the snow in the midwest), so when they arrived this week, the weather was already getting warmer. Oh well, there's still lots more winter ahead of us.
Going out to a friend's graduation party. It was supposed to involve watching football and playing poker, so I figured it was a casual event, but actually it was a little more formal than I'd expected. Oh well, there was a wide variety of clothing worn, and I didn't look out of place.
I got this sweater a few years ago, after seeing it at Target a few times (they had it right along the aisle, so I saw it every time I went and walked past). I thought it looked kind of different. But it's so warm, I didn't wear it that often because I'd end up feeling overheated by the end of the day. And then recently it occurred to me: I could just wear it with a lightweight, short-sleeved shirt, instead of a long-sleeved shirt! So I did that today and it worked out great!
