I am really enjoying this blue sweater with the gray top!
I haven't worn this sweater in forever! I never think to wear it because I feel like I'll be locked into being too warm or too cold, with a 3/4 sleeve sweater I can't remove. But I survived!
This is the first time I have successfully worn this shirt. Still pulls a bit across the front, but it's much less bad than the last time I tried, with my old bra...
Today was the last day of my trip. I just had to go to the office for a couple hours for a presentation, and then spent the rest of the day in the car driving back home. My traveling companions stopped to change for the ride, but really, these pants are more comfortable than jeans! I just snuggled up in the back seat and zoned out for much of the ride.
Today was the day of our huge team meeting. I got to see lots of people I see very rarely, and a lot of new people I hadn't had the chance to meet at all before.
Today was day 2 of my business trip. No official team meetings today, so I just did my normal work from the local office, which was a fun experience.
After work, it was another late night of dinner and hanging out. Luckily, I had the opportunity to change into jeans this time.
I know I just wore these colors... And I just wore this top last week... But since it was so nice out yesterday, I wanted to wear a bright color today, and then the polka dot shirt was handy. Too bad today didn't turn out to be quite as warm as yesterday.
You guys, the hem of my shirt is lopsided. Why did you not tell me?
I saw these earrings in the last mark. (Avon) catalog, and really liked them. Supposedly they are real leaves that are dipped in metal? I got tons of compliments on them at work. One of the ladies who sits near me was like, "Look at you with those sassy earrings!"
This is not my usual style, but I know crochet is really hot right now, right? So I got this top at Ross recently. I really liked the outfit, except the shirt is just a few inches too long. I tried tucking it in and then kind of blousing it out a little, but that didn't look quite right either. My husband said I looked pregnant in the loose top - in my opinion, that just means I don't have to spend the day sucking my stomach in!
The good news: it's been so warm, I can finally wear 3/4 sleeves again! I didn't even need a jacket today!
You may have noticed that sometimes my camera leans a little (because of the cheap little tripod I use), and I compensate for this by rotating the photos a little. I usually use the walls and baseboard as my guide to make them straight. I don't know what happened here, though, some kind of weird effect! Maybe I stand crooked!
I guess this is the week of new clothing items. I got this sweater a while ago at Ross, and I was still questioning whether I liked it. So I figured today would be like a test run, and I'd see if it felt good or like a wizard's cape. Well, we had a big meeting and all these ladies were gushing over how cute it was, so I guess it's in!
The last scarf I needed in my scarf collection - a beautiful turquoise! Of course, I don't know the brand, but it is from Sears...
I got this cardigan at a little boutique type shop when my husband and I went on a little day-trip last week. I love the color! And of course black + gray + turquoise is always a winning combination for me.
I'm on a business trip this week, so surprise, you get a hotel room shot! This was my only day of having to go to work while I'm here, but it was a long day that included all-day meetings, a confusing hike around the largest office campus I have ever seen, and a team dinner that went late into the evening. But the day was fun and productive!
A somewhat casual Thursday at work. It was my second and final day in the office this week. Also, I wanted to wear the other scarf I had gotten at Kohl's last week.
This photo may not count... I was going out for lunch and manicures with a friend, but at the last minute I changed into a scarf and sweater similar to what I wore on Friday. It was just too cold!
I love this outfit. We decided after our two long weeks that we were going to skip lunch, then knock off work early to go out for a late lunch before heading home (where we did promptly get back online and continue working... ugh).
Last day of our on-site activities! That means I get to retire my jacket for a while! But for most of today, it was back to the flyaway cardigan. And actually, this afternoon, I was just in short sleeves for a while. This top has fun, kind of fluttery sleeves.
Day two of our event and things are still going well! My outfit plans fell through this morning, so I ended up wearing this cowl neck top, and guess what: it looked not horrible under a jacket! But, like yesterday, I spent most of the day in a sweater.
Today was the first day that we hosted an on-site event at work. We had some additional coworkers in from out of town.
We were told to wear suits, so I broke out the jacket just for the event in the afternoon - the rest of the day, and to dinner afterward, I wore this cardigan.
My coworkers and I decided to wear jeans to work today. Nobody is in the office on Fridays to see us anyway, plus we were all just locked inside a room all day working.
I got this scarf over the weekend. I really want to wear scarves more. This was actually in Old Navy's new spring line, it comes in a lot of different colors, but of course I went with black and gray :o) It's actually a nice light jersey, I am a fan.
I just got this shirt this weekend. I am obsessed with gray clothes. Not heathered gray, just a solid gray. And these shirts are my current favorite, so any time I see a color I like in my size, I find I need to snatch it up.
